for the servants of twilight..i believe u cut it short. I think ure missin this part at the end of the poem ---> To see what we have never seen, to be what we have never been. To shed the chrysalis and fly, depart the earth, kiss the sky, to be reborn, be someone new: is this a dream or is it true. Can our future be cleanly shorn from a life to which we're born? Is each of us a creature free - or trapped at birth by destiny? Pity those who believe the latter. Without freedom, nothing matters.

I've been reading Stephen King and Dean Koontz since I was about 12 years old. I love the way they write. The pace of the reading really grabs your attention I also love Koontz's BOOK OF COUNTED SORROWS poems, they always give the book a good start, as well as, add intensity to the story. Anyways, I loved your site and I will be back soon for another visit.

I really enjoy your site. has all the best of both King & Koontz.Keep up the work!! I would read my books in the evening and when I got Koontzs' "Darkness" I couldnt put it down. it (in a way) made alittle afraid if the dark. And in Servents of twilight "Grace" is the kind of elder that makes you cautious of all the "strange" elders out there. Makes you look over your shoulder. Keep up the EXCELLENT work Koontz!

I have just completed "From the Corner of His Eye" which now means I have read EVERY Koontz book. Favorites though are "Watchers","Icebound", and "Tick Tock". Too bad it'll be another year or so before the next new one comes out. I usually complete an entire book in 3 days (though "Strangers" took 4). Least favorite? "Strange Highways". It was alot of good ideas that look like they just never found a place in a story.

If you’ve ever suspected the military or the government of a conspiracy, Mirage, a new novel by Don Passman, will haunt your dreams. A brilliant computer cryptographer is the unwitting victim of a brainwashing project, as the FBI engages a cult deprogrammer/mind control specialist to unlock what’s in his mind. The book is a real page turner which leaves you wanting more, and which I definitely recommend. To get a deeper look into the book visit http://www.donpassman.com

Here's the deal with the Book of Counted Sorrows... It does not exist anywhere but in Dean's mind. Somewhere online a long time ago, I read a Dean Koontz FAQ and it said he had no plans to release it because he would always be adding new "quotes". Before his publicist or whoever did a major crackdown on Koontz fan sites I was able to copy all of the "quotes" that were to date at the time. Since then I have manually entered any new ones into my PC. I compiled all of them in a Microsoft Publisher file and printed them out for my wife who is a big fan.

I just thought I'd comment on the many writings of Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and Clive Barker. I own and have read dozens of the novels written by these three men. Without a doubt they are some of my favorite authors. I occasionally write poems myself, some of them quite into the dark side. I have often considered trying to write a novel along the same lines as these authors. Who knows, maybe someday I'll actually try it. Thanks to all three authors for some fantastic reading over the years. I hope there are many more novels to come from them all.

I read, watch and listen to every thing, about Steven King. I am puzzled?. Why did he write a story like The Green Mile. There was love, there was compassion. That is not like Steven King. He wrote a beautiful story,Why end it by killing one of our saviours. The story made sence, not the ending

They are both brilliantly talented, and I hope that they have many more novels up their sleeves. Its nice to see so many people are fans of Stephen King and Dean Koontz, as I haven't meet many people who read their books. I started a new job earlier this year and one young girl I work with also reads Stephen King (miracle) and its so nice to be able to talk to someone about his books. 3 cheers to two fantastic authors!!!

Enjoyed King's early works, but have graduated to Koontz. If you can read Dark Rivers of the Heart without pausing to question the very foundation of our governmental structure, then you belong in Russia, or Iran, or somewhere.....If you haven't read it--read it. It's a page-turner, it's great, and it will make you think. None of us are immune.

I like the way Koontz throws lots of twists and turns. He puts the vital facts in but subtlely. Only at the end of the book do you realize it was all in front of you. King has a special way of keeping you reading. Dont read before you sleep!

Have been reading Dean Koontz/Stephen King for years. Dean always a favorite. Book of Counted Sorrows is still not published - is that correct? I heard (back in '95) that he thought it might be by then, but haven't seen it in print.

i read evry single book Dean Koonts has written. i think his books teach us that the world is not a happy and shining place, but no matter how hard and difficult something gets there is always a way out. i love your page so much. i've been looking for the book of shadows for some time now. i like its somewhat dark mestyrious mood. Its one of those things that just makes you wonder if there really is a purpose to all this chaos, or are we just an accident of nature?

Now, don't get me wrong, I like a good horror book as much as the next person, but am I the only one who has noticed that Dean Koontz has only written one book and he just keeps changing the names and monsters. Don't be offended, it is a really well written book, but how many times can you read it?

Me again, by the way, the Book of Counter Sorrows was written by Dean Koontz for those occasions when he couldn't find a suitable quote. Just in case you didn't know ! I think that he could have had a career in poetry too. Leanne.

I especially LOVE the quotes from the Book of Counted Sorrows. Do you know where I can get that book? Does it even exist?? I've been trying to find it but have had no luck. I have read all of Steven King books and most of Dean Koontz's books also. I would appreciate it if you could send me some info on the Book of Counted Sorrows though. Your web page is really good. I'm not such a big fan of Stephen King, though I've read a couple of his. I liked Firestarter, The Langoliers, (Did I spell that right?) and Pet Semetary.

I love most all of Koontz's books. My favorite is Wathchers, then the next few are Mr. Murder, Strangers, Midnight, and Intensity. His mastery of the genre is unmatched! I love his use of similes in his writing, also. His works can make me tense like no other literature. I have all 5 books published as "by Leigh Nichols", 2 as Owen West, 1 as Richard Paige, and 1 as by Brian Coffey. These are some of my most prized possessions. Thank you for the site dedicated to Dean. I love to read about him and see that others like his works as much as I do.

Koontz, King and Barker make up the essential modern horror library. For their works and successes one can only hold an incredible admiration for them. They are inspirational for all writers who aspire to reach the heights they have climbed to, and that is of great value to the modern horror community. For them I have the greatest admiration and respect and hope only that one day I may stand with them. To whoever it is that left an entry in my name (Tom I suspect it was you) don't do it again!

So happy to find a page on two of my favorite authors. I have almost all of Stephen King's books, including those written under Richard Bachman. Has anyone else noticed that his latest books have gotten easier to read? Looking forward to more of the "Dark Tower" series. Doesn't anyone have his e-mail address?!! I fill in the time between King's books with Koontz, and I thirst for more of both. I get King's new books automatically through membership in the Stephen King Library. Just finished "Bag of Bones".

King and Koontz have the best rating for horror books for the people. I think one of them should have a story about axes and sword age fighting. It would bring more attention to them becouse a lot of people like to read about fiction fighting from ancient days were ther was only swords and other type of blunt like weapons.

Cool site - I just love Stephen King, Dean Koontz and Clive Barker. I started off reading Stephen King who I think is fabulous but he couldn't write them quick enough for me and I ran out of books. Anyway, I discovered Koontz by accident and at first didn't think he was as good a writer as King, but guess what - Koontz won me over well and truly. My fav book is Dark Rivers of the Heart and I am currently reading Fear Nothing. I like some of Barker's novels but some are far too hard to understand and not enjoyable. Now I don't know who I love the best, but must admit I have a soft spot for King and I hope he finally finishes the story about the dark man. I would love to write direct to the authors so if you have E-mail addresses or contacts for them I would be eternally indebited to you. What a great job you have done with this site - I lo
